Building an agent in Copilot Studio is the easy part. The hard part is making sure it only sees what the person using it is allowed to see, that every answer and action is logged, that someone owns the content behind it, and that your own team can maintain it once the project ends.
We build Copilot Studio agents for Australian government agencies and regulated organisations, where those questions decide whether an agent reaches production at all.
The three kinds of agent we build
- Agents that answer questions from approved content, such as policy, procedures and guidance, with citations back to the source.
- Agents that take actions in other systems, such as creating a record, updating a case or starting a workflow, within the permissions of the person using them.
- Agents that coordinate several steps, sources or other agents to complete a larger piece of work.
Agents we have built
- Document and matter redaction for a commercial law firm. A Copilot Studio agent working across iManage and SharePoint, taken from pilot to live, with capacity of around 1,000 documents a day. This work is now part of our Seers Redact product.
- Program and project reporting for a state transport agency. Copilot agents piloted with more than 100 staff, drawing context from Aurion, SAP, Oracle Primavera and TeamBinder to help resolve reporting issues.
- Digital evidence preparation for a state prosecution authority. Built in pro code on the Microsoft Agent Framework and Python SDK, where the volume and sensitivity of the material needed more control than low code allows.
- Legacy modernisation assessment for a state courts body. An agent that supported a 12 week discovery of a legacy Oracle estate.
How we scope and price an agent
Every agent starts with a short discovery that scores the use case on six factors: the knowledge sources it needs, how ready that content is, whether the agent takes actions, the integrations involved, how sensitive the information is, and how many edge cases it has to handle. The score places the agent in one of the three types above and gives an early estimate. Once discovery confirms the sources, actions and acceptance criteria, we fix the price before build starts.
How we deliver
We use the same delivery method as our other government work: discovery, design, agile build cycles, testing and go live, with design, release and go live gates. You decide at each gate whether the agent moves forward, and an agent that has not passed its tests does not reach production.
Governance built in from the start
Each agent is scoped to the permissions of the person using it, so it cannot surface anything they could not already open. We set data loss prevention and connector policies, log every interaction and action, agree records retention before launch, keep an agent register, and name a content owner for every knowledge source. Our approach aligns to the Australian Government policy for the responsible use of AI and to agency AI impact assessment requirements.
Delivery is by an onshore Australian team under our ISO/IEC 27001 certified management system, with security-cleared personnel available where the environment requires it.
Low code first, pro code where it is needed
We build in Copilot Studio by default, using configuration your own staff can maintain without privileged access. Where an agent needs more control over orchestration, volume or security, we build it on the Microsoft Agent Framework and Python SDK instead, and tell you why.
Leaving your team able to build the next one
Each agent we deliver adds to a set of reusable libraries your organisation owns: agents, prompts, action patterns, tests and design patterns. Your staff build alongside ours, so the second agent costs less than the first and your team can eventually build without us. Where you want ongoing support, we provide it through Seers Care managed services.
